Northport Rotary invests in the next generation of leaders by granting scholarships to outstanding students in the Northport Long Island school district. We offer several scholarship programs to help students pursue their dreams and become the leaders of tomorrow.
Rotary “Service Above Self” Scholarship
One $2,000 scholarship is awarded to a deserving senior who exemplifies Rotary’s “Service Above Self”. The recipient will have a record of service to their school and community and a commitment to helping others. Consideration will be given to those applicants who have had to overcome personal obstacles or challenges in their own lives. All GPA’s will be considered.
Dick Manning Trade Scholarship
One $2,000 scholarship is awarded in memory of Dick Manning, former Northport Rotarian, and former President of the Northport-East Northport Board of Education. This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving senior who will be attending a trade school and has a record of service to their school and community and a commitment to helping others. Consideration will be given to those applicants who have had to overcome personal obstacles or challenges in their own lives. All GPA’s will be considered.
ELL Scholarship
One $2,000 scholarship is awarded to a deserving senior who is a current or former English Language Learner who has shown remarkable resilience and dedication in their academic journey. The recipient would be enrolled in the ELL program and planning to attend either college or trade school. They must demonstrate progress and advancement in learning the English language and individual experiences of overcoming significant adversity.
Rotary Interact/RYLA Scholarship
One $2,000 scholarship is awarded to a deserving senior who is actively involved in either the Interact or RYLA Club. The recipient would be an active club member who has a record of service to their school and community and a commitment to helping others. All GPA’s will be considered.
